Methodology

How curriculum mapping works.

TEKS Navigator is only as useful as its references are honest. Here is where they come from.

Our rules

  • References are imported from published alignment documents, row by row, as written.
  • We never invent, infer, or AI-generate a TEKS-to-lesson reference.
  • Entries that appear to contain an error in the source document are held back for review instead of shown.
  • A program or grade appears only when lesson references exist for it — never a guess.
  • Corrections are made by re-importing from the source document, not by editing references by hand.

What a reference tells you

That a publisher’s alignment document lists a standard in a particular module, lesson, or scope. It’s a starting point for planning.

What it doesn’t tell you

How deeply a lesson addresses the standard, whether it fits your students, or that a standard is absent from a curriculum just because it isn’t listed. Review the lesson in your adopted materials before you plan.

Process standards (for example K.1 or 3.1) appear in our TEKS master list as general headings, so some Bluebonnet references tagged with individual process-standard codes show in search results without a matching standard page. We’re working to close that gap.

Spend less time searching. More time planning.
